I've got two ks600.2's to four rev10s. It will melt your face off on the swim platform, but I'll be damned if it still isn't hard to hear at wakeboarding lengths. Not hard to hear like you can't hear it, but hard to hear like it sounds far off. Wind and water and engine noise are difficult to overcome. If I knew then what I know now, I think I'd probably just go with dedicated surf speakers.
I'm not saying that the revs don't project for miles... they definitely do. When I go down and boat circles back, it's clear as day. Just not with the handle in my hand.
