One other question -- do I need a different prop due to the elevation?

I'm running a stock 537 now. It does fine for me at lower elevations. (I went to a 1235 on my old 24V and wasn't happy with the increased RPMs it required, so I switched back to the 537.) We surf with 1000 lbs max and don't generally use ballast for wakeboarding.

    Thanks.

rule of thumb is 3% power loss per 1000' of elevation. Tahoe is 6200, so figure 20%-ish less power than sea level.

537 would likely be pretty slow out of the hole. Of course I'd expect a tahoe vacation is going to involve more cruising than watersports, in which case the lower rpms of the 537 would probably be appreciated.

Perhaps you should try the (and I'm not making this up) Coop's Chicken. It's on the kids menu but, I love it.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.
