My 22v wave dialing in project

Well I'm starting to dial in my custom ballast set up on my 2003 22v. Here is my set up so far rear full 1500-1600lbs bow bag full 650lbs I think and another 400lb bag on the floor in the walk thru. Speed was 11mph and taps at 1 to keep the bow down and two people in the boat. What do you guys think?

Yeah nickypoo we will have to get together some time and have a nv tige day. So far no problem with the weight she purs along at 3000rpm with the 1617 prop.

Still have the stock swim platform on but im thinking about cutting it down a bit to try and clean up the spray on the wave.

Thanks duffy I must be on the right track if you think its good. What kind of luck did you have with cutting down your swim platform? Im thinking about cutting mine but still unsure of what size and shape?

I think I still have the wood proto we used to make our aluminum one on the 24Ve. That has worked well, and many have copied that shape with success. IMHO, it is MOST important to have it smooth on the bottom, more important than shape, but just my opinion.

My shape works perfect. Here is my two threads. I don't agree with ragboy on this one. Smoothing out still affects the wave. Cutting will be the best, this is my humble opinion

Did you do anything to smooth out the bottom or just cut it?

The wave doesn't touch the deck so no need to smooth it out.

Duffy how much do you adjust your Taps settings when surfing?
Or for all what kind of Taps setting do you guys run? I'm just curious how much change it makes?
