    Cracked Exhaust Pipe to Silencer

Just found out this weekend that I have a crack in the fiberglass exhaust pipe that attaches to the silencer on my 2004 22I. Since the exhaust pipe is molded to the silencer I am wondering if I have to replace the entire silencer or can a cut pipe out and replace with rubber exhaust pipe.

Has any one seen this problem before or dealt with? Any ideas would help.

Pull it out, grind the crack and either use JB weld or 3m 5200. Both of mine were cracked and both have held up and work great!

If you can help it, don' use 5200 but grind and reglass the pipe.
