    throttle assembly removal?

Does anybody know how to get the throttle assembly out of the panel? I'm still trouble shooting my taps and I want to check to make sure there isnt a short in the wires that run to the rocker switch in the throttle handle but dont know how to get at it. Any help would be great.

I took mine out of my throttle and put it on my dash. I was sick of constantly fixing the wires from it moving in the throttle. It just pops out with a flat head. Disconnect and pull wires through back panel.

well I have figured out that my problem is the wires in the throttle and have wired up a temporary switch under the helm. But no I gave up on trying to figure out how to remove the throttle handle itself. Im afraid of causing myself another problem by doing it wrong. Doesn't look like a simple thing to do without knowing the correct procedure and steps.

It is a bad design leave it on your helm and you won't have anymore problems.

I was thinking about it. Just have to find a decent switch and a place to put on/in the dash and figure out how to cut a hole. What did you use? I just like the idea of having it in the throttle for ease of adjustment while driving.
