Anyone else experienced this????

Our RZR just came in and we took it out this weekend. When we are going down the river the boat sits deeper in the water on the driver side. It was just me and my fiance and we thought it was because I weigh more than her. But when we swap and she drives it still leans that way.... All the ballast are empty. We are puzzled by the issue..... Interested if there is a theory or problem of why this could be.....

How much deeper did you measure it?

It did this to us too!!

1. After 115 hours on the water I don't notice it anymore

2. There's no problem with the wake caused by this

3. We began to think it was an illusion because of the walk thru.

Also the taps gear, fluid and pump is right there, that may pitch the boat a tiny bit, just thinking out loud

I noticed this on my rz2 yesterday.....it lists a tiny bit to the starboard side??????

My previous boat did that, too. Very annoying. But when on plane it leveled right out, so I never did anything about it. Agreed that it nags you subconciously, though....

We didn't measure it. It's just very noticeable when cruising about 20-25mph. It's just annoying to us. I hate that it's even a problem you think tige would straighten that sort of stuff out.

The only other gripe about the boat is the fuel gauge. We have come to notice it doesn't seem very accurate. And once it gets below say 40-50% it jumps from 5% to 40% all the time.

But other than this we are really happy we the RZR and love our boat. I'd post a pic if I could figure out how! lol

Interesting about the list. Is it possible that one of your ballast tanks isn't draining completely? Did you try adjusting the timer and seeing if the one of the starboard side will dump more water?

Does your boat have dual batteries? I know on my boat that came with the dual batteries, the cranking battery is on the port side. Maybe with the single battery system they install the cranking battery on the starboard side? My boat never had that issue that I recall.

I will say that this past week while installing the subwoofer and moving some weight around (40lb Pop Bags) I must have miscalculated because right off the trailer, the boat had a serious gangsta lean to the starboard side. I moved 1 40lb Pop Bag in the rear from starboard to port and it evened up perfectly.

The rear is very sensative to weight, especially in the battery lockers. It also has a pretty dramatic impact on the wake.

Agreed. Our 2009 RZ2 does the same. I most always run the rear port stock tank full when not boarding (e.g., traveling to riding spot, cruusing). And for wakeboarding, I will use part of a surf sack on the port side to balance out (if stock full).

This is also part of the reason the dark side surf wake is better.

Once the fuel gets to that point it will fluctuate like that as you drive. The fuel goes from the sending unit to the back of the tank and back to the unit. This is all normal and all boats do it depending on where the sending unit is. Just like my truck when running low and turning tight or at higher then normal speeds the gauge will read completely empty for a few seconds till the fuel comes back to the sending unit. The fuel gauge in the boat is very accurate.

Agreed, but as an aside I wonder why they don't put baffles in fuel tanks to reduce this sloshing. I guess if the tanks are blow molded it would be tough to have interior walls, but if they're done in halves and then ultrasonically welded it would be a piece of cake. There are a lot of people making fuel tanks out there... must be some reason no one does this.

Thanks for all the input. We are pretty sure the ballast are completely empty. We have turned the pumps on to drain them while going down the river, stopped and while on the ramp. We have dual batteries as well. I'm not sure what is causing it.

I noticed both this weekend during my initial couple trips out...I thought i was imagining the slight list...the gas guage is definitely annoying...we went from showing over 1/2 full to having huge fluctations and then quickly went to 2 bars...definitely annoying, as I never want to run out of gas!
