I fail to see the issue. You say you want more room behind the boat so you can open your cabinets?

Don't put it in so far and fold the tongue.

Put the boat where the truck is and move the fridge.

Cut the wall off the house.

    Move the cabinets.

All of these options are easier than spending the rest of your life trying to push the boat by hand. If your going to do that, buy a motorized dolly.

Seriously dude, you appear miles of space in all directions. There is a better option than pushing it by hand everytime.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

All this will take is some practice backing that thing in a few times and then you will be able to put it in any way that you want. You have tons of space there.

        Nickypoo,

You must not be blessed with OCD! I have plenty of room front to back, and the tongue is folded, and moved forward right now. I have the swim platform off also.

I'm having a problem pushing the boat laterally so it is perpendicular to the back wall....then I can center it between the doors and drive in and out easily.

Maybe it's something with the trailer?

Kinda pricey but you could look at a powercaster. I have a PC2 which I used for a previous boat when I was a novice at backing in my boat. I have 3" clearance on each side. With the Tige I have not used it. Too bad you were not closer. You could try it out and see if it would do the trick for you. It could turn a double axle on a dime but the wheels would be torquing sideways if you did it too far. so you would have to go back and forth a little bit to get rid of the torque from tight turn.

No nothing wrong with thatt trailer..Pushing it like that is hard. it requires ALOT of force to get those daul axle trailers to pivot like that.

I think Im just going to get the tire jacks...like a go-jack....and slide it sideways. Im kinda OCD so it has to sit in the center and be straight!

I for one am jealous because my boat doesn’t fit in my garage. Therefore I will not comment because it would most likely be negative.

Look online there are hundreds available. Just search for your model -- http://www.etrailer.com/fmr-2011_Che..._Silverado.htm. Takes longer to put the boat on the hitch than it does to push it in. Pretty amazing how much easier it is to push with the pivot point very close to the trailer. Mounting is really easy, four bolts that go through your front tow hooks. No drilling needed. About a 30 minute job. I also bought a riser hitch to keep the trailer level, I think on my tundra I need about 4". Just flipped a drop hitch upside down.

Also, getting the thing on a hitch, try these little antenna balls pictured below. Stick one on the tongue and one on your truck receiver, back it up and align the two foam balls. Ten dollars at harbor freight. Kind of goofy, but actually makes it easier if it's only you.
Exactly THIS. I've got a 23' boat that I need to get into a storage unit with only 45' between the door and the next building. Backing in was frustrating and scary. With the front hitch it takes an extra 5 minutes to switch around, but I get the boat in the unit on the first try every time and there's plenty of adjustment to center the boat even once it's in the unit.

I'd think in your scenario a front hitch would make it a piece of cake. And they are CRAZY CHEAP. I think I paid about $150 shipped from amazon (have also used e-trailer in the past, but in this last instance amazon was like $25 cheaper).

The only thing is I have a plow mount on my truck...so Im not sure that would fit??

What about getting a stinger. I installed a Titan class V hitch and a stinger so that I could tow with my truck camper. The hitch takes a 2 1/2" receiver (as opposed to the standard 2") which allows a 2" x 3' extension (stinger) which in turn accepts a standard receiver. This might give you enough length from the back of the truck to crank it in there. The class V hitch is also way more heavy duty.

You need to buy a forklift to put the hitch on so that you can then put the boat in the garage.

Do you keep the plow on there at the same time as you are using the boat? It would seem that snowplow on truck = boat safely hibernating for winter.
                            Be excellent to one another.

I got the go jacks! Nice units.....except for one thing...the caster wheels are plastic and the weight of the boat flexes them sideways! So if, and its a lot of work, i can get the wheels pointing the same way....it moves ok. But with the wheels flexing and pinching sideways, its pretty sketchy for 900 clams.

So momma has to park her traverse on that side and i get the big side! F it!
