ignition question?

I have 2 questions
1) when I shut my boat off on the lake and want to listen to music does it matter if I switch the perko to 1 or 2?

2)when I shut the boat off on the lake and turn the tereo on the alarm keeps beeping and the red light is on????

You dont have to switch your perko, but its a good idea if you plan to sit a while, and crank the stereo. Not sure about the beeping, on my 2011 RZ2 i turn my key to the right to sit and listen to the stereo, and that work'sbest for me.

My '04 24V I turn the key to the left for stereo listening. If I turn right and leave it in the 'On' position without starting it'll beep. As far as the perko - really depends on how it's wired. Right now my stereo/amps are wired directly to my house battery - so doesn't matter what position the switch is in. All my switch does is determine which battery I start off of. I just bought a 5511e Dual Circuit Plus which will actually totally disconnect the load on both batteries when in the off position (good for total disconnect and using a dual bank charger with an ACR - wire the ACR to the load side), On connects each batteries load to it's respective battery, and combine...well combines both batteries in parallel so all loads run off both batteries.
