    Engine Hour Clocking

Do Tige's clock hours when the key is in the ACC position but the engine is not running?

    #2
    It's not supposed to.

It does run up hours when in the on position, even if the engine is not running.

I heard of a thread where a guy left the key on and ran up 140 hours in 1 week on his boat. There is usually a separate hour meter in the ECM that tells you engine hours, but the guy had some prospective buyers scared off as he tried to explain the discrepancy.
    Be excellent to one another.

The hour indicator on the display on my 24V doesn't align with the ECM...it does occasionally reset itself - it read 6 hours when I bought it but it was actually about 110... need to plug into the ECM to get the accurate count, even then I had my ECM replaced so I need to remember to back about 80 hours out of that number as the replacement had more hours than my original.

I didn't answer your question in any way shape or form though I don't know.
