    2012 RZ2 has landed!

    Just got home.

Looks good! Although it was filthy and i have to detail it.

One problem.....the "hatch" on the floor squeeks and flexes when you step on it...enough that i was like woah...whats this.

Anyone else have the flex? When i step on it it gives alot...kinda like that hatch door is not thick enough or is warped. For 85k i dont think that is right.

        ok it should work....

How do you open that hatch anyways? It seems like the seat cushion isn't removable on the back bench.....

I noticed the same thing with my 2012 RZ2 that we recently purchased. I was surprised by this, and I guess I'm not the only one who was bothered by this. Seems strange to me that a premium boat would have this issue. I'm interested to hear if any other owners have addressed or fixed this in some way.

In my 2011 RZ2 I have snap in carpet and didn't even know there was such a hatch.

Your malibu didn't do it cuz it was screwed down and wrapped with carpeting. The softness you might need to check into. I think what you think is the floor being soft is actually the rubber edge guard on on the underside edge of the hatch flexing up and down as you push up and down. I am guessing that you have never seen the under side of this hatch. It is very very reinforced and not a light weight hatch at all.

Take it back to the dealer and have them work it out.

The rear butt cushion on our 08 has two bolts holding it down. I reach in through the access door under a small removable cushion and can use a 7/16 wrench to remove the nuts. Than I can pull the cushion up. I do this every fall when I winterize the boat.

On the 08 the floor panel is not hinged. It is carpeted all the way around the edges so there is no squeaking. It is also reinforced with aluminum struts.

The noise and flex would drive me nuts. I would tell Tige/SkipperBuds to fix it.

What's it like with the carpeting down? You're not using the boat without the carpet are you? Just curious...

I noticed it on mine, but had so many bigger issues that I haven't even gotten around to lifting the carpet yet.
