I use the 303 protectant. The vinyl cleaner has never gotten very good reviews as far as a cleaner. The protectant is not a very good cleaner either, so I just use that after cleaning or during wipedown on most days.
For 'deep cleaning' I use something else.Be excellent to one another.

For those Boat Bling "Hot Sauce" users, you can order the product on the link below online or over the phone. It's the same mixture as Hot Sauce for a much lower price. I've been using it for over 2 years. It even smells the same.

Who is going to be the guinea pig for the sake of the greater good here, and do a side by side comparison? Anyone?Be excellent to one another.

I could not tell if she was not telling me that she knows that they are the same, or if she honestly does not know. But she was familiar with Boat Bling. For Half the price, it seems worth a try. I did find a thread on a power boat site that suggested they were very similar as well...but interestingly, lalhc was a poster there as well, so that might just be duplication of the same person that started it.

I will say that I tested the Hula wipedown under the worst of conditions and it failed. I was at Lake Powell for a week with baked on water spots after 5 days. I gave both bottles to my daughter's boyfriend and asked him to tell me which was better. He said he liked Boat Bling better.
I did some in the garage testing and came to the same conclusion. I am still trying to get around to using the polish and wax.Be excellent to one another.

That being said I am finalizing my formula for a water spot remover that contains polymers and adds protection to the surface. This product has been tested on week old accumulation of water spots on gel coat, rub rails and bright work.
I will get bottles ready in about two weeks for beta testing and will be posting on the forum looking for volunteers. What Rocks Your Boat?

I've been pretty happy with the big kahuna polymer sealant. We've been going to Pyramid Lake, NV lately. This lake is alkaline and has LOTS of vitamins and minerals in it. Waterspots are an absolute certainty. With a couple of coats of the polymer, the water spots wipe off pretty easily with a two man team. One person has a wet towel to soak the spots, and the other has a dry towel immediately following to wipe the wet towel's water smear off. Boat comes home 95% clean. We then do a similar chase with a car wash sponge and a towel.
There are some residual spots, but very few.

Thanks, Lalhc!
I haven't tried the vinyl equivalent yet, but I just ran out of my Boat Bling vinyl so that's going to be my next purchase from Pacific Produx.
