Nope, that's done completely by Hang Ten Cleaner Wax from Hula Boat Care coupled with a high speed buffer. The cleaner wax John has consists of abrasives made to cut light/medium oxidation. In this case, it was able to cut heavier oxidation quite well. It was the followed up by Big Kahuna Polymer Sealant for that extra protection and pop.

That's rather impressive! Is that a wool pad I see in the reflection? Is that what you used with with the cleaner wax? I assume you are using a rotary buffer as well.
I have a buddy who just bought a 19' center console that has some light oxidation on the gel coat. He took the boat to a detailer who, IMO, did a horrible job for the amount of money he charged. Detailing is a hobby of mine for my own vehicles and boats, and I was thinking about tackling his boat to test my skills. I have not progressed to a rotary buffer yet, do you think I could get the same results with my orbital buffer and a wool pad? It is a Porter Cable orbital with speed selection from 1 - 6, I have both the 4" and 6" backers for pads.

That spider web in the picture is the greatest.
Adds to that extra feeling of serious neglect!
Now I have to try Hula stuff...Arrggh!!! It seems to be a hobby of mine to try everything under the sun. But I am trying to stop this behavior.
I have landed on this recipe:
I Flitz the boat once or twice a year.
Follow up with Boat BLing Hot Sauce after every trip.
Clean the interior with a brush and Boat Bling vinyl sauce or Exquisite or Malco leather and plastic cleaner (I think the brush is more important that the cleaner itself). Top it off with 303 protectant regularly.Be excellent to one another.

I agree, give John at Hula a quick email and he will send samples. Fiver is using it and loves it. Once Im done color sanding, Im switching to Hula exclusively. John hangs out in here and has a heart for us Tige-ites.So this monkey walks into a bar...

At the end of the day there's a couple questions you have to ask yourself.
1) What works the best
2) What is the best for my boat (many products have a "masking" affect but don't solve the real issue)
3) How hard do I have to work to use this product
4) What is the most affordable
When I was introduced to Hula Boat Care last year I was hesitant. Unsure of these answers to all these questions John provided me with some samples. After trying Hula Boat Care we use NOTHING but Hula Boat Care.
