I would be pretty pissed. I am visiting the factory the Friday after next and will be sure to check to make sure they put good graphics on my build. The worst is to have to be out another week for issues like you have described. It sounds like they are taking care of you despite the issues and turning the boat around quickly.

TIGE is a good brand, I'm sorry that you're having issues, I'm sure they will step up for you.

I will say that once you get it straightened out you'll see that the design, ergonomics and over all build of the boat (despite some quality control issues, which we had) is superior than a lot of other brands and is worth the $$

My decals were coming off before i took delivery of boat, my dealer ordered a full set replacement before it was even in the water. Have a full set waiting in a box once i decide to do a replacement. This is a issue Tige should respond to if you bought from a dealer that will go to bat for ya!! Good Luck

If I recal, my buddy had those same deal issues due to the splashing fuel fill.
I'd be pissed. The graphics are directly related to the age old fuel spill problem. How is this not solved yet? It would be nice if Tige would solve this issue. I mean, come on.
The header issue is jacked up. If they were putting water in the motor, how did they not find that? Did they not check the oil? I don't know what the exact cause that the issue created I guess but, its generally not a good thing. It generally leads to milky oil. That can cause all sorts of bad issues. Everybody takes blame on this one. Manifold manufacturer, engine builders, Tige and the dealer.
The ballast system issue should be on the dealership. They need to have a competent rigger in back, setting these things up. Is it a new dealer? We don't see too many Pittsburgh Tiges around here. All systems should be run and checked before the customer ever gets the keys.
I'm sorry for your issues. That sucks. These boats ain't cheap and you should get outstanding product as soon as they hand the keys over to you. Hopefully they make it right. Chit happens to every company. How they handle those issues is how they should judged. You'll get your chance, smart guy.

bja37, I completely sympathize with you. I picked up my Z3 with the PCM 409 in March from the dealer. I'm from VA and the closest Tige dealership was 4 hours away in NC. This is my first wakeboard boat and I researched everything before settling on Tige. Their warranty was second to none and the quality and style of the boat really stood out to me.
That's why I was so frustrated after hauling the boat to the lake and noticing all of the little things that weren't quite up to par. The very first time we put the boat in, the check engine light came on. The boat had less than 4 hours on it. Later I found out the reason. This was still in March, so the recall hadn't come out yet.
After that we started noticing everything else that wasn't quite right and the punch list started to grow. The front port side speaker didn't work and the steering wheel was misaligned. We were offloading and noticed a slick in the water...the actuator on the TAPS plate was leaking. Needless to say I took the boat back to the dealer with less than 8 hours on it to get these issues fixed. The dealer did a great job addressing my problems and making sure I was satisfied.
However, now that I have the boat back, I'm noticing the graphic is starting to peel up on the port side. I think this is the way it was cut. It hangs over the bottom lip of the hull and rubs on the trailer fenders during onloading and offloading. I plan on fixing this myself with a straight edge and razor blade. Also, the hydraulic arm on the rear port ballast/storage area is worn and prevents the hatch from opening all the way. That's going to need to be replaced as well.
I do understand these are the kind of things that happen on boats, but it is just a little frustrating when you spend all that money and these problems occur when you only have 20+ hours on it. It's the little things that matter most sometimes and give you the most headache, but I'm optimistic that once I've got these last few items taken care of I'll be able to just enjoy it. I've had a great time riding behind it so far and I would still recommend Tige to anyone. The boat looks great and really turns some heads, but I just think a little quality control could go a long way with somebody's overall experience. I also know there are a lot of other owners out there, who don't have the convenience of being close to a dealer to have all of this work done. At the very least I hope the PCM 409 problem is being taken care of before the boats are leaving the factory.
Hope you can make it out on the water soon!

I really hoped that everything would get taken care of during my 25hr service. We picked the boat up and the dealer took care of everything including replacing the TAPS actuator. The boat was great the first time out after the service and we finally had a working TAPS actuator but halfway through the day the punchlist started over. 2nd trip out after 25hr service: no TAPS at all, click in the steering when turning to port, tow rope ring doesn't lock into place and just hangs there and slaps the tower loudly every time a rider falls, plexiglass separating from stainless Tige plates that cover the cup holders and still no final fix for the clamping board racks.
I love the boat but at this point I really feel like I bought a used boat with gremlins. There were a handful of used boats that I looked at and really wanted but decided to buy a new Tige because I wanted something that I knew hadn't been abused and would have warranty.
I know my dealer will take care of the boat when I have problems but it's roughly a 250 mile round trip and I shouldn't have to take it in after every trip.
I'm sorry, I think I'm a little cranky this morning. Someone at Tige needs to respond in detail with a post that (whether true or not) says that they've made recent, dramatic changes to their QC and water testing process prior to delivery to the dealer. Tell us that you've also initiated a mandatory, very thorough prep process that the dealer must do prior to delivery to the customer and that the dealer must walk through with the customer and have the customer sign off on each item. Tell us that someone got fired (again, lie to us...I'm not asking for someone to be fired).

I feel some of your pain, as I had a number of issues arise when I bought my boat brand new as well. As someone else mentioned, yes these boats will have a few flaws, how the dealer handles it is most important.
These boats are hand built and I imagine are prone to some issues, they do not go down the assembley like our trucks. With that said, my dealer was very prompt to take care of me and not let me miss one weekend the first summer as we worked through the issues. Now the boat is great. Although, I am having some sticker peeling, I thought about going naked but I like the graphics. Maybe it was a friday or monday boat?Friends don't let friends POWERTURN

I realize that businesses have issues time to time and its just part of doing business. With the amount of complaints that have been on here recently its clear there is an issue.
The sticker has been around for awhile and I would be to concerned about it if it was taken care of by tige. Same with the recall on the motor.
But the ballast draining into your hull I would have been furious. Close to 6 figure new boat and it has 6-8 inches of water in the hull, I don't think so. If it was my boat I would have left the boat at the dealer until all issues were fixed.

I have seen these things about every boat brand. Although this seems to be a little more often with Tige. It is sad to see on any forum.
Last week a guy's brand new Malibu had black gel coat spray all over the vinyl. Some other miscellaneous items too. Yeah, that's weird. They actually ended up taking the boat back and he re-ordered. But it was a bad experience for the owner and bad publicity for the brand.
I will never own a brand new boat that is further than 110 miles from the dealer, because there are pretty well guaranteed to be some small items, and occasionally are some big items. It is just the nature of the beast.
I think it is a constant push and pull from dealers to corporate on how much each one will do. I have heard dealers complain that the boats come too unprepared and corporate says they can't keep costs down if they put it together 100%. So they get put a little bit at odds with one another. They charge the customer a huge 'prep fee' to compensate...and the fee needs to go up if they have to do more that could have been done at the factory.Be excellent to one another.
