    Humor at my expence

So one side of my board rack forks have be upside down since i have owned the boat, but i keep forgetting to flip it over.
Well i paid for it yesterday,,,, as im stretching the bungie over two REALLY wide surf boards and looking under the boards to attach the bungie(looking under it cause its still unside down!) i missed the hook, and you guessed it... that bungie popped me right in the face at about 100MPH!!! Ouch!!!

My head still hurts, but im not sure if its from the beer after that, or the BUNGIE CORD!

I hope you all enjoyed that one on me!!

I think everyone that has the racks has done that! I did it on a test drive and it doesn't feel very good!

Revenge of the bungees. Yeah, happens to everyone eventually. Kind of like forgetting to put in the plug.

If you had already flipped your forks, probably the only difference is that the bungee would have given you an uppercut instead of hitting you from the top.

That may have been the only advantage to having the forks on top of the metcraft tower. Done it once on the new samson and got popped in the chest. Leaves a nice pretty red mark. Plus it makes you more careful.

Ha! Seeing this reminded me what the sore spot on my forehead is from. Somehow when I was surfing on Saturday and pumping up and down the wake with the slack rope coiled up in my left hand the handle swung around and the end of it smacked me in the forehead! My wife and I both got a good laugh but I had forgotten about it.

That is why you need to be wearing good impact resistant sunglasses. Every year a few folks get globe ruptures from getting a bungee to the eye....although they are usually the metal hooked kind. That being said, you would still be lucky to have even blurry vision after a good bungee strike.

I always give bungees a good dose of respect.

Since you are already beatin' yourself up, I won't diss you for misspelling "expense".

I gotta laugh, cause you aint the only one this has happened to Our 06 had the rubber straps with the big "hooks" on the end. when one of those got away from ya, it was like a right hook from George Foreman
