Ok is it better to travel with or without boat cover on?

With out if it is not raining.

Covers will rub way to much. On our old boat the straps went from cover to trailer. The straps left black marks on the boat.

I travel with the cover on. I have found that it keeps the interior cleaner and greatly reduces the chances of loose little things from flying out of the boat. Make sure you don't travel with the poles installed on the cover.

Each model is a little different with the fit of the cover but my cover does not leave marks on my boat.

Okay thanks ... Mine doesn't have poles it just has the strap you can tighten around the edges ...

My 2011 factory cover has 2 poles one for the front and one for the rear.

Telescoping metal poles that push up the cover (usually one in the bow and one in the main cabin) to make it like a tent, so that water will run off the cover rather than pooling on top and seeping in. I know that RZ2 and RZ4 use them - but I don't know if the RZR does.

I prefered to travel with the cover off, but when I did travel with the cover on I would wrap the bottom of the tower in packing wrap. For the most part the cover was tight, but around the tower in was very loose. I would wrap in to protect the finish.

I tow with mine on. You just have to make sure the ratcheting strap is very tight or it will rub. I have ratcheting transom straps from my trailer to the transom hooks that actually hold the swim platform cover on while towing.

Does anyone use the cover when mooring the boat uncovered overnight? I think we are finally going to be able to spend 2 days in a row at the river so I plan on leaving the boat on the water Saturday night.

I do not tow with the cover on but I always do cover it when it is left at a slip or on the trailer parked for the night Shark

I use my cover when the boat is in the wet slip overnight.It is protected from dew and bugs.If it's going to rain i use the poles too.Just start up front and roll it to the back.I put dock lines and bumpers on top of cover on cleats and bungee cord around tower wrap if it's going to rain.It works very well.
