    starting trouble.... help?

just put our 20V in the water for the season and it wouldn't start. It was running well at the end of last season and then was winterized.

Engine won't fire? there is 3/4 tank of gas in it (from last year), the batteries are charged and it cranks but won't fire?

    any suggestions?

    starting trouble

Are you sure you have spark? If yes, I have been having trouble with starts after the gas sits all winter, yes even with stabilizer. Run your fuel line into some fresh gas if you can.

not too handy when it comes to engines.
how do you check for a spark first. assuming we get spark then how would we accomplish running a fuel line to the engine from some fresh gas.
      appreciate your help

I had one of those boat cut off switches at the helm that got bumped at the end of the year. I was out there for hours trying to figure out what was going on with it the next spring. Not until I physically moved the switch did I realize it was partially flipped.
In that case boat turned over fine just would never start.

X2. It happened to me once.

BTW, I flipped the wires on the back of the lanyard switch so that the boat only works with the lanyard UNattached. Now I don't have a stupid red lanyard hanging at my feet waiting to get bumped.
          Be excellent to one another.

Yes, check for spark but one question (ok two). Did you run the engine AFTER you stabilized the gas last year for more than 5min? Did you change the fuel filter?

I am asking because I didn't and had to have my carb cleaned out. Same could happen with an EFI too.
