    Throttle question

I have a 1999 pre and i was wondering if this is normal or if i need to fix something. Is the range of motion on the throttle suppose to be 180 degrees? Right now mine is straight up neutral and straight down full throttle(not quite). I plan on tearing it apart in the next week or two. Just wondering what the range of motion should be. Has anyone pulled this apart? Is it difficult? Anyone have any diagrams of throttle control? Thanks for any help.

Usually a little past 90 degrees. Before you take the shifter apart, open the engine cover and verify the throttle cable attached to the engine is actually moving when you move the throttle itself. The cables used on those engines only move 3 inches from full in to full out and it sounds like you've got a broken cable end. Let us know what you find.
Fixing everyone elses boat just so I can use mine...

Does the boat have Perfect Pass , I just had one that the servo wasnt winding the cable and the shifter would go further.
