Hi guys, new to the forum, I just became the winning bidder on a '99 Tige 2050 on ebay, I am going to look at the boat Friday to finalize the deal. There is not a lot of info on this particular model, what do y'all suggest I pay particular attention to. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Compression test, oil analysis, trans fluid analysis and diagnostic code check/scan... without those I would not suggest pulling the trigger. If you do decide to buy without those, start fresh with new spark plugs (AC declo MR43LTS) new mercruiser or quicksilver cap and rotor, new ignition sensor module, new coil, new belt, new impeller and new trans cooler. Keep in mind the fuel pump will eventually die (thanks EPA for your ethanol, it may be better for something but it will never be good for a boat engine) but none of this has anything to do with the boat, just the engine manufacturer. PM me if you need any specific info and I'll be glad to help any way I can. Good luck!Fixing everyone elses boat just so I can use mine...

I believe the older boats have wooden stringers and wooded floors. If maintained they are great, but if neglected they aren't your best friend. Check the floor for soft spots would be the best way to diagnose any wood issues. I also read somewhere about loose or broken motor mounts in some of the older boats (it wasn't Tige specific) but I'd pay attention to that. Also if it has a Metcraft tower, check for hairline cracks, a lot of the older towers were junk...so I've heard.
That boat should have the TAPS plate, make sure it cycles thru all the positions smoothly. And don't over look the trailer, check the master cylinder and see what color the brake fluid is, check the tires, you can usually check the wheel bearings by jacking up the wheel, and spin the wheel. Also wiggle the wheel from the 12 & 6 o'clock positions. Any grinding or excessive play I would want to look at the wheel bearings.
Don't mean to overwhelm you, just keep and eye out for any of these issues.

Well I ot the boat, it had alot of PM done prior to the purchase, we had it on the lake all weekend, ran like a champ, I have a couple things that need attention, the blower motor would whine every so often and the wet seal was leaking more than I thought it should, but we are very happy. Oh it has a MT1 I believe and I need to replace some of the hardware any suggestions?

That is awesome to hear! With the wet seal, you can try to tighten the packing gland nut a bit more, but not too tight, you still want it to drip a little as the water keeps everything lubricated & acts as a coolant. There was a decent thread on here on how to replace your packing, or you could go with a PSS Shaft seal.
As far as hardware, I would replace them with grade 8 bolts.
