Best Place to Sell my Tige

Looks like I'm going to have to face reality, and sell my Tige. Sooner would be better than later, but I'm in Michigan, and it's not a good time to try and sell a boat.

Does anyone have any input on the best online classified spots where they have had success? Is e-bay a worthwhile venue?

    Any input would be appreciated.

I have had pretty good luck with selling things locally on www.craigslist.com Just find the board in the city closest to you and post it under boats. Best of all it is free and you can post small pics.
My best advise is to price it to sell, if you are trying to get every dollar you spent back out of it then you will likely sit on it thru next summer. It amazes me to see people asking more than full retail blue book on a boat, sometimed nearing what you could probably get a new one for! In the used market you are going to find people looking for a bargain so you have to price it like one, as in what the average person in the know would consider a good price. Otherwise you will never get anyone to even look at it no matter how good a shape it is in. Once you get someone out to see it, which is 90% of the battle it is OK to stick to your listed bottom dollar price.
I would not bother with e-bay unless you are really hurting to get rid of it and are willing to take less than wholesale book. From my observations most of them do not meet reserve which almost always too high for the market!
    Hope this helps,
    Ray

I just sold my 01 23V through Boat Trader On-Line. I tried ebay, hoping that I would at least get interested buyers after the auction closed, but it was a local guy that saw the ad on boat trader on line that ended up buying the boat.

After looking at used boats for two years, I can say I never personally found much on e-bay. The reserve prices were always very high. The site I liked the best was boattrader.com.

Other sites I looked at were:
          ablboats.com
          boat-world.com
          boats.com
          iboats.com

Water Ski Magazine also has some classified ads also at waterskimag.com

Our Tige dealer in Denver has helped some of his customers sell boats, maybe yours will to.

          I hope this helps!

Another vote for Boat Trader. When my dealer sold my old boat for me it was on trader online and sold within the week.
            Let it be!!!

              Another vote for boattraderonline.com

During peak months there will be in the neighborhood of 120,000+ boats for sale. Winter months that drops to around 90,000. I would guess that site generates more hits than any of them. For the month we ran the ad for our boat, I had about 20 people inquire about the boat...

Thanks so much for all your help, I should have it up on Boat Trader this week. Wish me luck. In the mean time, if you know anyone that's looking for a 1997 Pre2150wt, send them my way.

                Thanks.

Boattrader is the way to go, and if it is priced to sell you shoould get hits or calls. We put all of our inventory on boattrader, it is a cheap way for a website with all of our current inventory, we have used them for several years and are extremely happy with the results. Just take plenty of photos and list all of your options.

I sold two boats (mine and a brother in laws) on boattrader online.
                        Be excellent to one another.
