    08 tige ve throttle issue

Hello everyone , new here to the forum , and figured I could find the best answers here about these boats. I have an 08 tige' 22ve. Took the boat out for the first time this year, started fine, idled over to the dock, once everything was loaded , we went to take off, the boat would not come off idle no matter where I pushed the throttle. Anyone have any ideas I can try? Also this has the fly by wire . Thanks

Are you sure your batteries were charged? I had this problem last year and the batteries were depleted enough it would send it into a limp mode.

That's an interesting scenario, good to know.

Did you get an alarm or just no throttle up?

On common cause is to leave a knock sensor disconnected during winterization. This will put the ECM into limp mode and restrict throttle-up, but there is typically an alarm also.

Check battery connections and charge both batteries. They way they are wired if the batteries are not both fully charged and the voltages are to far apart it will throw a code 81 and the throttle goes dead. Its a prettycommon issue. The best fix is rewiring the throttle control module to the same battery as the ECM. But charging both batteries should get you back up and running.

My similar problems were from a few bad conecters, fuse holders and a bad fuse back by the battery.

Yes, I had the same problem with my 2010 Z1 this spring. I had a surgeing problem with the boat as it would slow down and speed up at low RPMs, @800. It would surge about 200rpm up and down. The computer was sent out over the winter to be reprogramed to correct the problem. When I went to use the boat for the first time this spring it would only idle no mattter how far i advanced the throttle. The computer was sent back again to PCM to be reprogramed and works fine now. Your computer may need to be reprogramed.

I just took my 06' 24ve in to the dealer for a similar problem. Turned out to be the throttle actuator was going out and needed to be replaced. They said this would cause the engine to go in "Limp Mode"
