I have a 07 RZ2 and the swim deck is a bit bigger than the newer decks. I have cut mine down to help with the surf wave but I would like to be sure I cut it enough before I glass it. Can someone with a newer RZ2 give me the measurements of the newer deck so that I can compare with what I have? Thanks

ya if I had a older deck I would still cut it back more than the newer deck by another inch or two. But MIne right now is perfect and I dont see much more gain. But if I had the older deck i would cut it up a little more just to play with some ideas I have!www.1320diesel.com Home of the Fastest Diesels!

About the best I could do for ya is measure an RZ4 down at the dealership if I make it down there this week. I'm not sure if they are identical or not but, they should be fairly similar. They're not open on Mondays but, I might be able to swing down on Tues.
Until then, somebody's slap a tape on a deck for this guy. You'll get your chance, smart guy.

Sorry, I thought I had put the dimensions in my thread but I guess not.

The dimensions are simple: As small as the supporting brackets will allow you to make it. Smaller is better, smaller is better, etc. I haven't ever heard of someone saying, "my swim deck makes a sweet wave." If it wasn't nice to use to get in the boat or if it didn't provide significant safety buffer from the prop when surfing, I'd deep six mine. Remember, less is more here.2007 RZ2 Marine power 340hp Custom ballast

But what I'd really like to know is what did you use as a trim replacement.
The stock aluminum piece is Juuuunkie.
