RZ2 swim deck

I have a 07 RZ2 and the swim deck is a bit bigger than the newer decks. I have cut mine down to help with the surf wave but I would like to be sure I cut it enough before I glass it. Can someone with a newer RZ2 give me the measurements of the newer deck so that I can compare with what I have? Thanks

Do a search, I think I put the dimensions on here somewhere when I converted to the newer one.

Take a look at wickedcummings thread, he has a newer deck and still cut it back a little.

ya if I had a older deck I would still cut it back more than the newer deck by another inch or two. But MIne right now is perfect and I dont see much more gain. But if I had the older deck i would cut it up a little more just to play with some ideas I have!

Searched and found the thread I believe timmy is talking about but still not the dimensions I was looking for. I have no idea how much smaller, width or depth, the newer deck is. I just cut mine to what I think will work.

I would still like to no what the dimensions are on a newer deck.If someone out there with a newer style rz2 deck can find time to measure there's I would greatly appreciate it. I mainly want to no the length in the middle and the sides from front to back. Thanks

About the best I could do for ya is measure an RZ4 down at the dealership if I make it down there this week. I'm not sure if they are identical or not but, they should be fairly similar. They're not open on Mondays but, I might be able to swing down on Tues.

Until then, somebody's slap a tape on a deck for this guy.

I was going to build a wood one and I think I found the dimensions but I can't tell if these are the seadeck dimensions or the platform:
73" wide at the transom
69" wide at the break for the diagonal
25 1/4" sides
26" total depth from the peak

Smaller is better, smaller is better, etc. I haven't ever heard of someone saying, "my swim deck makes a sweet wave." If it wasn't nice to use to get in the boat or if it didn't provide significant safety buffer from the prop when surfing, I'd deep six mine. Remember, less is more here.

Mmmm - not exactly. Ragboy has some stuff on the one he made for his 24Ve and as I recall, complete removal is not as great as one would think.

I understand what you are sayin but I would like to keep mine as big as possible but cut out the necessary part that interferes with the surf wave.
