    Ready For Summer!!

I picked up my new boat over the winter and completed all my upgrades before going to Havasu earlier this Spring. I'm just impatiently waiting for the lakes to warm up in Colorado now.

    Stereo
-Replaced the Pro 60's with a pair of Rev 10's
-Replaced the SYN-2 with a SYN-4 for the Rev 10's
-Replaced the 10" FA sub with a XS-12 in a sealed box under the helm
-Running the 6 interior WS-650's with ch. 1-4 and powering the XS-12 with channels 5&6 on a SYN-6
-Going to add 6V batteries and an on board charger in the next few weeks

    LED's
-Added red LED's to the Rev 10's
-Added red LED's behind powder coated front and rear vents

    Ballast
-750# Fly High Sac's in each rear locker
    -(2) Ballast Puppies

    Trailer
-Powder coated the factory Boat Mate wheels black

    Performance
-Replaced the stock prop with an Acme 1235

    Maintenance
-Engine, Transmission, and V-Drive oil change
    -New Steering Cable
-Upgraded to a water cooled drip less shaft seal

The boat turned out great and I can't wait for all the fun I'll have this summer!!

I'd like to thank Liquid Powersports http://liquidpowersports.com/ in Northern Colorado for all the great work they did!!

One question, why the water cooled drip less shaft seal?

I wanted to have a completely dry bilge and overall I think it's a much better system than what the Tige's come with stock.

I'm curious as to how well the 750's fit in the rear lockers?

Ryan at LPS is the man! We've bough a decent amount of stereo gear from him.

Wasn't it already a dripless one? That's what mine came with, no water in the bilge at all.

            Boat looks great!

Lots of cool upgrades. Looks good.

How was Havasu? How long did it take you to get there?

I believe it's about making certain there is water surrounding the shaft seal so they don't run dry. From PSS's website:

For high-speed vessels it is required that a water supply be plumbed to the PSS for the purpose of cooling and lubricating the seal faces... at over approximately 12 knots of speed a vacuum is created in the stern tube and water is drawn away from the PSS resulting in a loss of cooling water that may cause the carbon to over heat
In other words, the shaft seal is no longer in contact with the water, losing both cooling and lubrication. That's the exact situation I had on my 24Ve, and the reason I have moved to the "wet" version of the shaft seal.

                  Just my $0.02.
