I lost my freeze/expansion plugs :(

Hi All, Just finished my service, except I lost my freeze plugs. They were in a zip lock, and I think they blew out when I moved the boat to my house from storage. Of course Im in a hurry to take the boat out and the local car parts store does not have them. Besides the Tige dealer (40 miles away), does anyone know where I could order a few plugs? Any suggestions would be appreciated

My boat specs are: 99 PRE 2200wti, 350 MAG MPI

sorry to hear. I think the best bet is an marine engine shop. I know it doesn't help now, but I always replace my plugs as soon as the water is drained. That way there is no need to spend time re-installing in the spring.

Mercs are stilled used by a lot of boat manufacturers, so check with any local boat dealers that carry i/o's.

Any merc shop will have them, You will hate what they want for little blue plastic plugs! Make sure you get the O-rings!

Marina or dealer will be able to get them or have them, trust me when I say they probably have a hundred floating around their workshops. May be able to strike a deal where are you located if in mid west maybe able to help you out.

Thanks again for the input. It turns out the Tige Dealer 40 miles away was the only one that had them. $40.00 for 5 of them. Im very happy to get them back in the boat. Hopefully hit the lake this weekend

If you can not find them I can get you as many as you need. Not a problem. I have access to all MERC parts.
