Very disappointed. You would think that when you're spending that much $$$ that the boat would be tested to insure everything works properly prior to delivery.

I ended up with 6" of water in the bottom of the hull....took almost 10 minutes for it to drain out of the plug hole.

        How pissed would you be?
Man I have some stories I can tell you that would make you ecstatic that all you had was 6" of water in the boat as the main issue when you went to pick it up. All new boats have issues. Just be prepared for issues the first 20-50 hours you put on it, just the nature of the beast.

That is dealer preparation unfortunately some aren't as thorough on it as others. Also new boats have issues when buying a new boat I expect truest 15-25 hours to usually have things come up guess many aren't the same and think it should be perfect. I have seen some of the boats coming out of factories from some big names not saying any but you'd be surprised as to how much work dealers do in the rigging process.

What was wrong with be PCM409? As mine runs flawless and have had a couple with this motor and they are torque monsters when set up properly. Secondly ballast filling? Let me guess front bow bag didn't fill?

some sort of recall apparently. PCM is overnighting some part or parts to "fix" the problem.

I would recommend talking to your dealer about it. I was told there was info sent out over the past weekend to dealers.

Front bag was only one that filled....and it filled completely. That being said the screen only said 50% full with it completely filled.

Count me as one who expected it to be perfect.

I don't blame you for expecting anything other than perfection, espically since your dropping a lot of money for a brand new boat. Your dealer will get it figured out and make your overall experience a good one because that's what good dealers do!! Cheers

Simply could be a timer issue then, however I understand you wish it was perfect. The pumps could of simply lost their prime also resulting in not filling.

the pumps were filling, just not filling the rear bags...they filled the hull!

I too think it should be perfect but quickly found out that's not the case. Hopefully they have you squared away in time for the weekend!

Seems like the QA dept is missing an employee or two. Love your boat, it looks like mine.....kinda.

Hope they get that figured out for yah quick. You can adjust that bimini down in the front as well, other than that the boat is beautiful!

Turns out that PCM had a run of bad castings on the exhaust manifold...and it's allowing water from the cooling system to get into the engine.

PCM is shipping new exhaust manifold to my dealer for replacement.

                                Not Tige's fault there.

However, my dealer has found additional leaks in the ballast system. In my opinion, there is ABSOLUTELY no excuse for this. This should have been thoroughly checked and RE-CHECKED in Abilene prior to anyone signing off on the boat and shipping it to me, the customer.

For those of you that know more about these mechanically than I do, how concerned should I be about this engine issue moving forward? I'm certain the inside of engines and water don't make for a good couple. With this boat having been water tested weeks ago at Tige, then sitting there for several weeks before getting shipped...I would think there would have been some form of water or moisture in the engine...and that can't be good. I'm trying to remain as patient as possible, but I spent alot of money to not have a used boat with problems....not to mention having spent a lot of cash to upgrade to the 409!

What would you do in my shoes?
