    2005 22V

    Hey everyone,

I'm looking into buying a 2005 22V, but the boat is located in Jasper, AL. So I'm hoping a few of you can answer some questions.

    1) Does anyone know or have you dealt with this dealer: Nelems Marine
    13239 Hwy 78
    Jasper, AL 35501

    2) I know this Tige' has been posted before but couldn't find if anyone researched why they are selling it for $41,500. (Seems cheap)

    3) Does anyone know where to get NADA for 2005? NADA.com only goes up to 2004.

I was almost sold on a Tige' 24veor 22ve' here in AZ, but this seems to good of deal to pass up on. Please let me know if you have any information.

    Thanks,

    Keith

That is not bad price I just looked at 2 different new 2005 22v for $47,000 and they also have a 2005 24V $50,000. If I could have found a used/demo boat that I liked I would have gone that way. The most important thing is not to buy a boat because of the price get the boat you want, or every time you look at someone else on the lake with the boat you should have got you will be pissed.

Thanks G-Money. This boat is pretty close to what I would build. And for $41,500 it's pretty hard to pass up on, even with $1500 in deliver charges.

Is the 2006 22v different enough to warrant buying new? Or is the 22ve' that much better that I should be looking at that?

I'm waiting to hear back from my Tige' dealer about maintenance. I don't want to buy from out of state only to have them not want to warranty or maintenance the boat.

      Thanks for all the help.

Any tige dealer will do maintenance on your boat it will just be after they get the costumers that bought the boat from their shop done first. They cant deny you service because you bought the boat out of state. We had the same question when we bought our boat from the dealer 6hr from our house vs. the one 15min away. I think you could even get that boat for cheeper. In Sep. we got a new 2005 24v with everything you could think of for $49,000

For what its worth I have heard nothing but good things about the Tige dealer in phoenix. I am sure that they would take care of any issues or warranty problems with the boat. Just dont take it to them when they are at their busiest time of year if you can help it. I cant say that I have ever used them myself because I do my own work.

If you are looking for a good deal this time of year and dont want to go so far e-bay had a couple of near new tiges that did not make reserve, they were in Missouri so I bet they would be eager to deal on these off season. Keyword search tige and checkmark completed items. Just be advised that if you buy from a dealer out of state you will have to pay arizona sales tax before you can register it.

If you wanna go cheap there is a nice 98 2200wt for less than 20k. in Chandler, current listing.
          Hope this helps, Ray

If the boat has 80 hours on it you might not get the full warranty.

Walkers2rad- The Tige' dealer here in Mesa is excellent! That's why this decision is so hard. I would prefer to give them my money, but this deal seems pretty good.

I'm not trying to go cheap, if you see in my original post I'm thinking about a 2006 24ve' or 22ve'. I searched E-bay and boat trader and this boat is $5-$7k cheaper then any other 2005.

              Thanks for the reply.

Lee- I thought Tige's had fully transferable warranties? This boat is a 2005 with only 89 hours. That's barely broken in? If the warranty is limited now, where can I find a breakdown? I would like to see what is and what's not covered.

              Thanks for the reply.

That looks like a nice boat- heck, all Tiges are nice. But it is a little hard to compare used prices with new. You will always save some cash buying used. I thought that the only warrantee that is transferable is the lifetime hull warr. and there may be a fee with doing that.

As others have said, if you are making a purchase like that, make sure you are getting exactly what you want. What are you saving in payments vs. thinking "I wish I had that color or those options".

There were a couple of brand new loaded 2005 22v's on ebay a couple of weeks ago. Buy it now price hit $37,000 and nobody bought them. $37,000 for a brand new, loaded, 2005 22v? Smokin' deals...
