I hear ya about the long drive and hassle of taking it back. It might be worth the trip back out to just have record of the repair and negotiate restarting the 30 days once it is fixed and make the argument that it was hard to really focus on everything else on the boat on your first trip because you were distracted by the tight throttle.

Yeah good point! I am planning on taking it back in next weekend for a few things but wanted to use it this weekend without having to drive back. They are aware of the issue and have been really great so far with everything else that has come up.

Is that where you got yours from?

No. Private party but I had looked at some of their boats. I really liked the one you got. Keep her waxed.

Ok so I took the boat out again this weekend and it does appear to be the shifter cable. It is not tight when I am accelerating or when I push in the neutral button. So I am going to take it back in to the dealer and hopefully have it replaced.

Also kind of related to this, the warning sensor alarm kept going off while I was trying to shift from neutral to idle. It seemed to happen when it took a little longer to engage (because of the tightness). Once that went off I was not able to put it in gear. I am hoping this issue will be fixed once they replace the shifter cable but just thought I would see if anyone else had this issue.

Turned out to be the shift cable, replaced and shifts perfectly now! Thanks everyone for your suggestions and help
