Z3 carpet fit issues

My new Z3 carpet doesnt fit well. Talked with the boys down at WWS in Denver who have discussed the problem with Tige but I'm not getting any feed back from Tige. Any thoughts?? Any other Z3 owners out there having the same issue?
The carpet is just too big for the space which creates a roll up towards the front under the drivers feet.

I would recommend being patient for a couple of days and give everyone a chance to figure out the best way to make it right. I am confident your dealer and TIGE will fix it. I know it is hard on a new boat not to get upset.

All the carpet I have had in boats does this. But Yah hope someone gets you figured out! Good luck also on getting in touch with anyone at tige

Emailed Tige about the issue over a month ago.. Trust me I have been patient.. I know Bill @ WWS in Denver will take care of it if Tige doesnt.. I would just like to know something.

Bill knows about the situation. I have no problems with them. I have no problems with Tige.. I just want to know what they plan to do prior to the upcoming boating season. No upgrades offered yet. I would be open for their new poisden mat.. Will see.

This is regular carpet? The way you described it bunching up it sounded like the new Poseidon mat was cut too long by the footwell. Got any pics? I'm just curious to see how regular carpet can be bunched up there.

We have this issue. It's not that bad but ts a little baggy. It does shrink a bit as it gets wet and dries. My buddy has an mc which carpet barely fits into due to shrinkage

I think the reason it doesn't fit well, is that its very different, weird texture and material. Its designed to never be wet. So when you get water in the boat, yet you stand not the carpet, the water goes right through, and its not wet under your feet. The fit isn't snap in tight like the old carpet, but it doesn't really bother me. I can see how it would be VERY difficult to put snaps in this material, or anything like that. I am guessing, choosing this material brings a major benefit that tige found to be useful, but at the cost of no snaps.

At first, I was very on the fence about it, it feels very funny under your bare feet, which I am always in. My perspective changed a bit after a few outings, especially when its a bit cold. Its ALWAYS dry, and stuff you lay on it, like wet vests, seem to drip through it and dry up. When you cover the boat on the lift, it doesn't seem to hold moisture like it did before and make it mildewy. We cover the boat in the slip on the lift, and then you remove the cover and it feels/smells dry. The previous boats, we had to buy special covers that breathed better, to keep moisture out. The carpet seems to really help or maybe fix that.

The other thing that came up that made me think different about it was one of the people that comes to ride with us a lot, Janelle Harrington. I was standing on the carpet and I said it feels weird, but I like that its at least always dry. She said, "I love it, I can put my socks on after riding to keep my feet warm and I don't have to worry about my socks getting squishy" I looked down, she had these cute pink girly socks and they were totally dry and we had a boatful of people getting in and out of the water. It stuck with me about this carpet.

Anyway, all that to be said, I would use it a few times and get a feel for it, it may grow on you a bit, it has really grown on me, even though I honestly would rather feel the dry old carpet under my feet than this, it kinda feels like your walking on dry grass. But if it helps keep everything dry, and helps my boat to stay "fresh" better, I am for it. ;-)

like it should in my opinion. When snapped in under my feet at the drivers helm, I have at least a 2 inch rise in the form of roll..
I can un snap at the helm to get a little better fit..

like it should in my opinion. When snapped in under my feet at the drivers helm, I have at least a 2 inch rise in the form of roll..
I can un snap at the helm to get a little better fit..

Could be as simple as relocating one or two snaps? Keep in mind that those snaps are drilled and mounted by a human hand. Maybe the template moved a hair and one snap is off a half inch and causes the gather. May not even be the carpet that's off. It would be easy to move a snap and then fill the existing hole in with some gel repair.

Velcro baby! The double-sided tape velcro might work for a short time in an area that doesn't get much water (driver's foot well). Undo the snap, get the carpet tight and put down your velcro on the underside and see if it works. < $5 to see if it will work or not.

We must be talking about 2 totally different things, my carpet is nothing like the carpet in the 2012 RZ4 or the 2012 RZ2. Sounds like you have an issue that has nothing to do with what I see. Hope you get it worked out!

Tony From Tige contacted me today.. They have been looking into the problem and promised me they would get the carpet squared away
for me.. Nice to see a company stand behind their products. Thanks Tony
