lakes close to Omaha, NE

I have some friends that live in omaha and just seeing what lakes are close that would be fun to hit up. From talking to a few people out there, it seems like there are a lot of private lakes. Thoughts??

Well my friends that live in Omaha usually come to me in Lincoln. We usually go to Branced Oak. It sucks that a lot of lakes around Omaha are private and Carter Lake and Lake Manawa are about the only public lake otions.
