Finally! Removed the Pro60's and replaced with Pro80's to match the 485's. A little modification and all is well.

And I kind of forget what the heck I've got - I'm in San Diego - boat is in Austin..haven't been in it since November.
I 'think' I've got an ARC KS300.2 to the 80s and a RF something or another to the 485. I'll have to sort through emails/posts and see where we talked. But everything seems to more or less be in line with appropriate amount of power. And the gains seem to be appropriately set. Maybe she's just going def.
I am flying home this weekend though so I can take a peak and verify what exactly I've got.
update - found it... via PM
Anyhow other amp is a rockford punch 500-2 which I think the birth cert says about 600W x 1 bridged.
I've also got an ARC 300.4 that I could bridge for the Pro 80s. Guess I need to test them out individually and figure out which needs more power.
So maybe bridge the 300.4 for the 80s (rated @ 2 x 350W)
And bridge the 300.2 for the 485 (rated @ 1 x 700W)Last edited by strohlde; 04-12-2012, 11:23 PM.

I have the following: 2 Pro 80s and 2 485 on the Tower with 3 sets of XS-650s and a XS-XXX sub. The power comes from 2 Syn 6s and a Syn 1. I have the Pro 80s being ran off one Syn 6 with channels 1-2 and 3-4 Bridged and the 485s are powered off the 5-6 channels from both Syn 6s. The 650s are using the other 4 channels on the second Syn 6. My XXX is obviously running off the Syn 1. That being said, it could for sure use more power, but without selling the Syn 6s and taking a hit on them plus having to dish out more money for new amps, we are very happy with the output. I've considered selling the Pro 80s (hopefully to Dan) and leaving the amp setup but reconfiguring the 650s to 1 channel each insead of sharing power from 4 channels for 6 speakers. I would have 2 extra channels but could always add another set of 650s or just leave it alone and ride!!
Please correct any of this info if you know my boat and I've messed it up. I know some of you probably know my system better than I do from the help you provided! HA

The Syncs are great but do not deliver like the Hertz. Of course, you get what you pay for and in the end all the Hertz failed because their not made for the marine environment.
Its my opinion that each 485 should run on it's own Sync 2 and a pair of Pro80's should also have their own Sync 2.
Thoughts on this?
Opinions??

For Pro80/Rev-8, a Syn-2 is ideal, but bridging on a Syn-4 is pushing them to the limits.
The extra headroom is nice, but the increase in volume may not be what some might expect. I took my 485 from 400W from a Syn-4 to 700W bridged on a Syn-2 when I added the Rev-10s to the demo board. They are bridged on that same Syn-4. There is a noticeable difference difference in the 485.
With Strohlde, I dont think it it would be a noticeable difference to go from his 600W RF to the 700W Syn-2 for the 485, but I think going from the Syn-2 to bridged on the KS300.4 would be.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More
