What are you hoping to accomplish this season?

I thought it would be fun to start a thread sharing what we are hoping to accomplish this 2012 season on the water.

I am hoping to create a lot of family fun on the water, I also want to learn how to get some air wakesurfing and finally nail a surface 360. I want to get my 2 (almost 3) year daughter comfortable in the water and on the back of a tube which will require require some stability in her swimming. I hope to get my 4 year old surfing by herself (we have rode tandem together). I want to introduce my 2 year old to tandem surfing with me.

As we are still fairly new to this sport as a family( I grew up around them) I am hoping for the following:

Myself: bare footing again, learning my new Skyski. My wife wants to learn to deep water on one ski. My 15 year wants to jump the wake and 360 on her wake-board: My 12 year old more consistent wake-boarding. Failing that we hope to continue to build family memories. Failing that there is always tubing.

It would be nice to buy a trainer pole this season and get some friends and family up on a board.

Giers - deep water mono ski starts still give me shivers !! had a friend who taught me to ski in 1990 and wouldnt let me drop a ski to learn !!

We dont really have a break in the season here in dubai, slow down a bit in the winter when it gets a 'bit cold' and then slow down mid summer when it gets 'VERY hot', but what I would like to see is: Wakeboarding- my son landing his 360 and then a 540 and inverts, my wife to jump wake to wake, me to stop being injured and get back to boarding with some confidence and land a back roll.

Surfing - wife to go wireless (get off her back foot), me air and 360 and for my son to stop improving at a pace thats embarrassing me !

get everyone newto the sport up and surfing !

Get an EZSki for the little ones. They are a little spendy but, they are worth every penny. My kid will be 4 this summer and it will be her third season behind the boat. She has perfect technique already. Head up, eyes forward, arms straight, knees bent, back straight.

Personally, I'm hoping to nail down my shovs so they are automatic. Seeing JW nail that big spin makes me want to give that a go. I really want to try a kick flip "out". Sort of an end of the run, over the spine, out move.

I really should ski more too. I didn't ski hardly at all last year and didn't hit the coarse once.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

Let's see...longer free rides, have my wife move from stinkin Landlock to better board, son do 2 surf tricks, figure out new Gopro 2, do lots better movie edits, pop a 360, ride a few different Lakewakes boards, and give 15+ newbies their first wakesurf ride.

probably the biggest item i would like to acommplish... just avoid and pray people that the dangerous peeps on the lake keep away from me... the rest will take care of itself.

every year I see some things that are jaw dropping.

Wakeboarding: For me to land a 360...was close last year before it got too cold to ride. For my wife to land wake to wake jumps consistanly.

Surfing: Try to get some air and possibly a pesky 360. Also, to try to get my 2 1/2 year old son out with me.

As always have fun and get as many new people up on a board as I can. Last year got 9 new people up on a wakeboard so this year's gotta be higher than that.

For surfing, consistent 360's and learn how to do an aerial.
For Wakeboarding, clear the wake on my toe side.

Me and 10YO son: Consistent 360's; start getting some air; get comfortable surfing both normal and goofy on both sides of the boat so we're stable in any position and configuration.

Wife: Get her started surfing. She has the desire but hasn't really focused on it yet.

Family and friends: More time on the wave and help them progress!

Boat: Increase fill and drain speeds; improve the onboard camera system; miscellaneous other improvements.

For me it would get wake to wake jumps. Get more comfortable with spins and switch stance riding.

For surfing would be to get aerials down and to get a better wake/wave.

Introduce and teach newbies to both surfing and boarding.

Most of all have fun and avoid injuries to me or anyone on or behind the boat.
