    24Ve' Stock Ballast

Hi Im new to the Tige' owners group and am loving my new 24Ve' in BC. I have a lot of questions but will start with; Why do my ballast tanks in the rear keep filling when we are not using them?

Is it an 09 or newer? Its passive filling due to a small amount of water pressure at the intake thru-hull created while the boat is underway.

The easy and nearly free fix is to reroute the fill hose in order to get it up above the level of the tank. The trick is to create a loop. This upside down drain-trap creates an air pocket in the top of the loop when the fill pump is shut off. It also adds a little head-pressure that overcomes that slight amount of water pressure.

Thank you sounds like an easy fix. Maybey you can help with this one, why when fill gas it burps at about 3-5 gallons?

Very common problem. Slow down the flow. Also as it reaches full it may also squirt out a large amount of fuel. We can this "getting a gas bath".

I have found that opening the gas cap on the other side gives it some extra air & also helps prevent getting an unwanted bath.
