Open question I think. Prior discussion here.

Summary. For sound, probably not needed given the PCM is so quiet (I do not think it made a significnt sound rdx on our 2009 RZ2 with 409 cat). For CO, might be needed, especially at idle, if Catanium cat does not scrub substantially all CO. I think Ragboy is going to collect CO levels on the new Z3 with Catanium in the upcoming season.

Personally, I am glad I have an FAE on a PCM cat motor just to further knock down CO.

Decision Time - I will order tomorrow, but I have a question:
How many people have the Black finish and wish they had the polished version? What about quick release?

I wish I had the polished. My powdercoat is basically gone off the down tube. Not sure if Larry has done anything about that issue or not. Not sure what could be done. Also not sure how the polished finish would hold up at my lake. It's very sandy and very shallow in my slalom spot.

I have the quick release. I really don't use it anymore with the new garage. I used to have to pull the platform off everytime so it was worth it. If you don't have to, I can't see why you would need it. I'm also not sure if its the same as mine. I've had mine on for 5 or 6 years now. The year after I installed it, Larry sent me a new set of quick release pins out of the blue. I called him up to ask why and he said they had just found these new pins and felt they worked better so he shipped em to me. No charge, just wanted to take care of his customers. He is always trying to improve his product so they might be totally different nowadays.

Get the polished one. The powder coating is better on the newer ones but still that much heat must mess with it somehow.
