Thanks in large part to all the great information on this site, my wife and I just pulled the trigger on an '03 Tige 22V which needed a good home. We wrestled with Nautique 226's but in the end felt that the value of the Tiges and configuration was perfect for us and our little ones. We're excited and can't wait to start surfing this summer and teach the small people how to ski! It's amazing how my brothers and buddies have "conveniently" touched base since we bought the boat.
This forum is bad in the sense that its given me a list of wanted upgrades about a mile long. I ordered FAE before we even finalized the boat deal! Now on to my next priority...we need shade if the kiddos are going to last all day on the water.
The boat has a factory tower and bimini. I've seen a few pics scattered around of extended biminis. Some have added a zipper to the back to attach a second extension and I've seen one full replacement (Rich14?). Does anyone have detailed pictures of a bimini extension I can show to a canvas shop? Anyone in the San Antonio area know of a reputable canvas shop? I'd like to be able to show them a general concept and get your input on design for folding it up and tucking it out of the way when trailering.
Thanks for your help! See you on the water if the lake ever fills up!
