We didn't take many pictures when we took the boat out for the first time last week but we did snap a couple. I wish I had taken some from the water of the boat. The all white looked great on the water.
very cool.. nothing better then the family on the lake!
contrats! BTW where is that... a river or a lake?
We were on the Sabine River around Orange, TX. The water was a little chilly. We saw anywhere from 64-69 degrees. Lots of debris in the water (small trees and limbs) after the recent rains but we managed to not hit anything, at least that we saw or felt.
On another note, we used the box anchor, anchor buddy and shore spike with danik hook and wow, what a great purchase! It was soo easy and worked perfectly! That might be the best accessory I've purchased so far.
X2 on the Box Anchor,Shore spike and Danik hook. They are Awesome.Great pics and enjoy your new boat!
I am an idiot...I usually tie a knot in the rope, and just use a carabiner...but I always find that I tied the knot 18 inches too close or too far. I am getting me a Danik hook!
Sharky, the boat looks awesome on the water and looks like the family is having a great time!

My buddy who went out with us (a XStar owner, who I'm hoping will soon be a Tige owner!) looked at me funny when I pulled out the anchor, spike and danik hook. He went and set the shore spike and danik hook and was blown away at how well it worked. I think he ordered the whole set up afterwards.
I got the spike and the anchor, and they are awesome.
Do you guys use the smaller Thermoplastic one? $25 seems a little steep compared to a $5 carabiner, but if it saves me time getting setup so I can have more fun, then it is a reasonable investment.

I got the stainless steel one. I like not not having to tie a knot. I didn't realize there was a thermoplastic one when I ordered it but I still would have gotten the SS version. It's rated to 8000lbs vs 500lbs for the plastic one.
Wow! Theres a river in Texas with enough water to boat on?!
The water level on all the rivers I have been on in the last year have been pretty stable. It's the lakes that are really suffering. We have had a decent amount of rain since November and especially in the last month or so.
Lake Conroe is just 2.73' below normal and Lake Houston is full. Lake Travis in Austin is a different story though. It has come up 6' since the beginning of the year but is still 47' down. It will likely take years for it to get back to normal.
