I'm looking to become a tige owner Anyway, I knew someone that owned a 2001 21i. It was a sweet ride, but I heard the hull had a fairly major change in 2003, so that's where I started my adventure. I also wanted to make the jump to a 22v, heard those were much nicer as well. 2003 22v s are slim to none to come by right now. But I did find a 2004 22v in very nice shape (I'll try to add the pictures if I can figure out how ) It seems to have all the bells and whistles, heater, shower, Polk Audio speakers, ect, just not PerfectPass. Trailer is two axle with breaks and a fold-able tongue. The engine only has 60 hours. What would you value it at? Is 31k a fair price (that is the current listing price.)

I have a 2004 22i, and I LOVE it. I realize it's comparing apples and oranges, but I thought I was lucky finding a boat with 90 hours. I second Timmy'S take, book it out on NADA. If youre getting it financed, they are going to look in NADA to see if it's worth the asking price anyway. Lastly, if the teak deck is any indication, that boat has been well taken care of! Welcome to the site.

Looks like NADA puts it at around 36500 with the trailer as the the average sale price, so it seems like a really good deal. I was hoping to stay under 30k, so maybe with a little negotiation I will be a tige owner
Good to hear you love your 2004 , was there anything major from 2003 to 2004?

Ask for Ryan, and tell him Patrick from the Tige Owners sent you.

Trippy. It's got a BOSS tower on it.
Why does it only have 60hrs on it?
There's nothing special about those speakers. Don't get me wrong, I have the same ones in my boat and love them. However they're no more than $60 a pair.
It does look really clean. Obviously garaged. You'll get your chance, smart guy.

I'm in Colorado, it'll be a fun drive to go pick up :-) Good to know that tower is awesome, always a plus I put a call in to the owner the other day. I'm going to call soon and give my offer, see what they offer back. Good call on the hours, I am gonna ask why it's that low for the age of the boat.

Actually BOSS is the manufacturer. I had them built a tower for my boat years ago. They are long gone now. Probably because the owner was a D-bag. I didn't know that until I actually picked up my boat. They built some of the best towers of the time. They were all exceptionally strong. A friend of mine had the same one as is on your prospective boat and it was super stiff. It was one of the reasons I went with them. Had I met the owner before hand, I would have told him to pound salt. Instead, I got really strong, solid tower the even looks pretty decent for top dollar. So, I'm sure that one is better than the stock tower would have been. You'll get your chance, smart guy.

The biggest bargaining chip you have is the hours on the boat. I would get it checked by a mechanic if you can and give it a good test run to make sure it all works right. When boats sit things tend to fall into disrepair and nobody notices because it's not being used. The owner will make it seem like a great deal since it only has 60 hours, but I'd be willing to bet you will have some fuel system issues with that boat. It's a very clean boat and you can get it for a good deal, just know and explain to the owner that your going to have some additional maintenance to perform. I'm not a mechanic, and the qualified guys will chime in, but I would drain the fuel from the tank and use a fuel system cleaner, then change the fuel filter, then run the boat with fresh gas, then change the fuel filter again. I would also give it a fresh oil change, then change the oil again after the second fuel filter flush. There are lots of threads on here from people that have bought 5-6 year old boats with crazy low hours and they always have some type of problem with the fuel system.2009 RZ2, PCM 343, MLA Surf Ballast, Premium Sound.
