This is clear urethane product and top coat, developed by 3M, that protects the trailer and boat from rock chips, dock rash, scuffs from shoes/wakeboards etc. Apparently people use it on the frame and fenders of their trailers and hull side, deck and trandsom of the boat. It was originally designed in the 60's for the leading edge of helicopter blades then the auto industry started using it in the 80's to protect the front of the hood from rock chips (I have it or something like it on my 2011 and 2012 vehicles). Now the marine industry is starting to use it. Below is the website for the product and two short youtube videos showing its effectiveness (AC/DC seem to like it) and how it is applied to a trandsome of a boat. All I know about it is from the FAQs on the Vantage website. Has anyone used this product or something like it before or heard anything +ve or -ve about it?
