John, I'll try to call next week. Folks are in town for their 50th, so haven't been able to return your call. The weekend of Sept 21-22 works great for us. Wifes birthday is Sept 21, so as long as I spoil her on that day, everything will be good

How about a new Z3! JK
Back on track with some 2012 Lake Mead Reunion talk....
I haven't seen many posts on the likes and dislikes of the reunion last year. Keep in mind, we can only change things if people ask or bring them up....this event is for "US" and although a few people take on the task of planning it each year, everyone's feedback and ideas are very important. One thing that was brought up in regards to the location last year was having to leave the marina to board and if there was a pro rider or someone putting on a show like Ragboy, we all had to leave to see it. If we were in a cove it would have been easier to just hop in your boat and pull away from shore. Another comment was made about the convenience of the marina with restrooms, picnic tables and the store all right there, plus having slips available instead of anchoring each time. Let's hear some additional comments and we can start firming things up with Echo Bay before other's steal our weekend....Sept 21-23!!

Here is the problem we ran into last year, and it has been a minor speed bump every year, and thats the ever changing water level and landscape. I ride up and down the lake with Jim looking for a place, then came along Talltige. I jumped on board with his crew and we looked some more. By mid-afternoon, we were kicking the idea around to just stay at the docks for Friday night. Well, Dingle was traveling up by water from his slip and spent a bit of time in the dark looking for us on the beach. He finally gave up and headed into Echo Marina, where we were
Part of the problem is not knowing everyone's exact plans and not having good cell coverage once at the water level. So id people are in route and plans shift, it can be hard to get the word out.
The next problem is if we do find a good beach in the weeks before, then what happens on Friday afternoon if we get there and a couple if other boaters have already squatted on that beach.
So, I vote for staging at the marina, but its not a must. I would still stay in the houseboat Fri and Sat nights
I also think that having a few set times for things like lunch, drawing, pro rider demo, etc is needed.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

Bad 05, I personnally like a beach better for campfires, pets or fishing, but you did a great job with the water level being so high, I don't think that the water level will be a problem this year considering the snow pack in the Rockies is only 56% of normal, it will probably drop quite a bit by September, exposing all that good beach, if we do decide to get a beach we could just schedule times each day for drop offs and pick ups at the marina.
I have access to a couple of folding tables also.

My only complaints about the houseboat is it seems so remote from being able to get in the water...seems like it is 20 minutes or more by the time you get out of the marina and into an area that is reasonable to wakeboard or surf on.
Like CHP said, I think we make a schedule far in advance of what happens when and where and it would all be good.Be excellent to one another.
