2012 Lake Mead Reunion September 21-23

Three quick questions... 1. Has a firm date been set? It looks like everyone is looking at 22-23 Sept. Hate to be pushy, but want to put the vacation request in sooner rather than later. 2. For the houseboats (and this may sound stupid), does 1 person/family rent it out, and rent the other rooms out to participants? My wife and I would love to rent a room, but Im not even sure if that's how it works. 3. Will there be any vendors selling stuff there (i.e. chpthril)? Or do you attend just for pleasure Mike?

Last year, we shared a houseboat with Dan and Jon and thier better halves. We are planing to do the same. I guess it would depend on how many of you are coming.

I really just come for the fun of it. The wife and I have been attending even before I was MLA. I will not be bringing any product with me, except for maybe something as a give-away. If there's something you want, let me know and I can ship to the in-laws in Vegas and bring it out to the lake with me.

I think that right now we are hoping that Bad05 will coordinate with Tige to decide which date would be best for a little corporate support (team rider, demo boat, lunch). I will shoot him a text and see if he can pin down corporate Tige on if they are able to help this year. We can do it as a non-specific bunch of boat enthusiasts, but it is a nice treat if Tige puts some love our way.

So I wrote a short novel yesterday about last year's reunion and some questions/discussion topics for this year and I guess it didn't post. I talked to "tallwaitingtobuyanothertigeguy" yesterday and decided to check with corporate's schedule to avoid any conflicts like surf expo or a boat show. I'll post again once I hear back. If nobody else is going to post, I'll just keep talking to myself, JK! I just spoke with Jean @ Tige and confrimed the dates of Sept. 21-23. That will be the date unless there is an issue with the "majority" of the group!

You know we are in and down for a house boat Fri and Sat night. It will probably be just me Friday night, then the better half will come out Sat morning. No boat of course.

We plan to attend and bring our boat. Assuming the weather is decent, we would probably camp.

It is probably easier on those planning the event to have it in the Marina. They don't have to load up their boats with all the gear to take it out to the party site as well as bring all the trash back. The shade, tables and restrooms were nice. In the Marina there is no problem wondering what location the party is at.

Some of the negatives were no sand/beach for the little kids to play in. You are further removed from the fun zone outside the no wake zone. Usable slips seemed scarce.

These are just some of my opinions of course. I just like getting together with all my TO friends and spending time on the water with my family. Everything else is icing on the cake.

The only suggestion I have is to have a set time for the events. It usually works itself out, but it would be good to know what time to be back so you don't miss something you wanted to do. Maybe like, Pro demo @ 11:00, lunch at Noon, stereo wars @ 1:00, Raffle @ 1:30? No one has to do any of them, but you would know what time to be there for the event they were interested in.

Anyway, looking forward to it!!!

Too bad for me. I'd love to do this trip but, you guys always set it up during the Air Races. Maybe someday you'll set it up for some other date and I'll be able to make it.

Glad to hear that the dates are confirmed. I plan on attending. Too for to bring the boat but hope to be a boat bum and ask for a ride. Thanks in advance.
