You should probably check on changing the dates of the air races! JK

Looks like that is a bad weekend for me this year.

I'll get on that right away. Even if it was on a different weekend in September, I still couldn't do it. I take so much time off for the races that anymore time off just ain't gonna happen. Yes, I'm that obsessed.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

...although, if I was a boat bum, I could just fly down. It would be a shame not to bring the Double O to the biggest reunion of the year when its in my home state. Even though its an 8hr drive through complete desolation.

What the hell am I thinking. That would go over like a fart in a space suit with the wife.

                USC home game?

For those that don't know, LP's real screen name was supposed to be 'TrojanMan' because he is a big USC Trojan alumnus. But that name just seemed too open to interpretation, so he went with LP.

TRUE THAT! That drive SUCKS! I had to make it twice last year, and it 2 time to many.

I've made that drive a few times as well, no fun, even on the bike! So as of now, it's a bad weekend for 2....and unfortunately no weekend will be good for everyone! With that being said, does anyone else see that being a bad weekend? I know there are a few that need to confirm vacation dates sooner or later so please speak up. I'll start contacting vendors this next week and watching for good deals on clearance T-Shirts to get us the best deal possible, thinking white T-shirts again, nothing special to keep it easy. Now if someone else wants to take that task on and get fancy, please let me know.

I grew up in LV and came to UNR for undergrad, so I've done that one a lot.

It's a lot better now with realistic speed limits than it was back in the day when the whole drive was 55. Or when there wasn't a mcdonalds (now 3!) or 24 hour gas station in tonopah. It has been worse, a lot worse.

Never towed down there tho. I think a long tow would add a new level of terrible.

And if you appreciate that it's just going to be a long drive, well... there is a bit of beauty in that desolation. This one's from Christmas Eve:

That's why the water speed record was going to be set out there.
                            Sorry,

                              Shawndoggy,

If you want to make the drive in the car, you are always welcome on my boat. I usually try to get there Friday morning. Friday is usually the best water day of the year for me. Saturday too many people come to the reunion and it gets a bit worked up.

Yeah I was thinking on it ('specially cuz my parents and brother are still in LV) but my daughter will be testing for her second degree blackbelt around that time and usually every saturday in September is spoken for. Big trouble with the fam if I miss.
