For those that don't know, LP's real screen name was supposed to be 'TrojanMan' because he is a big USC Trojan alumnus. But that name just seemed too open to interpretation, so he went with LP.Be excellent to one another.

I've made that drive a few times as well, no fun, even on the bike! So as of now, it's a bad weekend for 2....and unfortunately no weekend will be good for everyone! With that being said, does anyone else see that being a bad weekend? I know there are a few that need to confirm vacation dates sooner or later so please speak up. I'll start contacting vendors this next week and watching for good deals on clearance T-Shirts to get us the best deal possible, thinking white T-shirts again, nothing special to keep it easy. Now if someone else wants to take that task on and get fancy, please let me know.

I grew up in LV and came to UNR for undergrad, so I've done that one a lot.
It's a lot better now with realistic speed limits than it was back in the day when the whole drive was 55. Or when there wasn't a mcdonalds (now 3!) or 24 hour gas station in tonopah. It has been worse, a lot worse.
Never towed down there tho. I think a long tow would add a new level of terrible.
And if you appreciate that it's just going to be a long drive, well... there is a bit of beauty in that desolation. This one's from Christmas Eve:

If you want to make the drive in the car, you are always welcome on my boat. I usually try to get there Friday morning. Friday is usually the best water day of the year for me. Saturday too many people come to the reunion and it gets a bit worked up.Be excellent to one another.
