    Confused About Tige Models

OK can someone help me make sense of all the model designations from TIGE....Z1, Z3, RZR, i, ve, etc.....who thinks stuff up and how someone new to their product line can figure it out I don't know??....maybe that is the idea!! Is this a matter of new models and old stuff? Thanks everyone for a great site!

    R20 = price-point 20ft w/pickle fork bow. Limited options
RZR = Same hull as the R20, but has more options available.
Z1 - 21ft traditional bow boat, but with edgy lines.
Ve = comes in 22ft and 24ft models. Its the traditional flowing bow and lines with a walk-thu transom and activity center/seating
RZ = same hull as the Ve but with pickle fork bow like the R20 and RzR and edgy lines like the Z1
Z3 = new 23ft boat for 2012. It is the big brother to the Z1 as it has the edgy lines, but rear activity center and walk-thru transom like the Ve and RZ models.

Thats it for the V-drive models. The Direct drives are designated with the "i".

      Z1: 21 foot V nose boat
      Z3: 23 foot V nose boat
RZR: 20 foot pickle fork bow similar to the Rz2 and Rz4
Ve: V nose boat but different styling/seating.
Guess not sure exactly what you are asking maybe this can help,
      First letter = model
      the number = how long
      Example : Rz2 (Rz model 22ft long)

Explain your question a bit more.

Thanks for the quick replies as always. I guess its not so hard. My point was why does Tige mix the same hulls with different designation like R20 and RZR?...it doesn't make a lot of sense for someone new to their product, confusing. Bottom line is Tige is making hot boats...I love the Alpha Z tower....Tige nailed it! Can't wait just trying to find the right deal! Probably non current Z1

Heres my take on it: A little back story 1st. When Tige launched the Z1, it was billed as a "riders" boat. Price-point with the basic options: trailer, tower, ballast, etc. Well, dealers ordered them for boat shows loaded to the hilt and the price was over 60K....about 15K higher then what the target price was expected. Well, it was easy to order a 45K Z1, but the perception was that it was not a "core riders boat".

My guess it that Tige didnt want to repeat that, so they designated the R20 and RZR as to different models, even though they share the same hull. If you get a chance to see them in person, you will see that they are two different models.

The ve designation has a walkthrough to the transome. The v does not.

The Ve series replaced the V series and has a different hull as well. I think it was mid year 2006. So you can find 2006's with both hull types, but all 05's are going to be V series only.
                  Be excellent to one another.
