    Tower Color

I will be purchasing a new boat this winter and it will be my first with a tower. (Currently have a 98 Tige 22i with pole). Most likely going with a 24Ve with an Extreme Phat Buddy Tower.

The new boat is going to be White with a black accent in the middle. I want the tower to be either Black or the "aluminum finish"

For those who have them, my question is "How is the upkeep"? With the black, do water spots show easy? Do you wax it? And the aluminum, do spots show and do you have to polish it frequently?

I will have speaker tubbies and lights as well.

Thanks in advance for your response, as they will factor in my decision.

I had a painted grey tower and now have the brushed alum. tower. The unpainted tower is easier to keep nice. Shows the water spots less and never any needs waxing. More important, the brushed alum. doesn't scratch or chip off like painted ones. Any scratches in black will really show up.

my dealer suggested me not get it because it sratches easy. but i suppose if your carful with it your don't have to worry about it. i'd still go with the unpainted one though.

I have the powder coat silver on my tower. I have a friend with a brushed aluminum and it seems my powder coating shows marks and scratches a lot easier than his brushed aluminum. That seems contrary to what I hear some people say, but just my personal experience. I moved my speakers and have big marks, my water spots show pretty easily. Mosquitos don't seem to come off very easy (I don't know if brushed is better in that regard).
          Be excellent to one another.
