tige genuine accessories

i am from canada and i realized that on the tige website that you can only purschase if you live in the states. Now im looking to purschase a hitch cover and my local dealers dont have them. Do i get them to ship some up here or do i have to keep looking till i find one?

I had the same problem but eventually used my mother-in-law's address in the U.S. and had the stuff shipped there.

BTW, I only discovered after ordering it that the hitch cover doesn't allow you to use the hitch lock to prevent it from being stolen. It has two tabs that engage the holes in the hitch receiver - its actually pretty cheap compared to others brands I've seen. The design could be simply changed which would make it a lot better.

Or, you could simply mount the hitch in the receiver and drill the hole through it. That works pretty good if you are careful.

SummerObsession, you may be right - I'll have to look at it tonight. As I recall the tabs are right at the end of the piece. They are about the diameter of the hole you'd need, so if you drilled the hole, there might not be much left to hold the cover in place. If there is some plastic between the tabs and the end of the cover you could simply score the tabs and carefully break them off to have the hole through both sides.

I checked out the hitch cover last night between trick-or-treaters. The design of the cover makes it virtually impossible to drill a hole through the existing plastic so that you could put the hitch lock through it. The tabs prevent it. A simple design change by Tige would make these things a lot better, but for $9 what do you expect...?
