Maybe he saw Dirty's thread and realized it is cheaper to get the boat that you want in the first place.

Robert amd all. I am not buying a Mojo or any othe boat at this time. My Supra meets our current needs and will continue to do so until Grandkids appear.

In a response I indicated I would look at it and test it but that I would also look for a used RZ2 or a used 22VE or a larger Supra. The key reason I would consider a Mojo is that price point and limited use we get out of a boat currently go together well and get me a resonable 22.6 foot boat that would meet my boating needs. But again I am not buying a new boat or any boat to replace my Supra.

I know Tige boats fairly well since I spent time in WI with friends who had Tige 20V models and I tried to buy one but it did not work out. I also know and saw vinyl issues on boats built before 2009. The newer Tige boats have addressed this issue as well as others.

I personally wished Tige kept the 20V. It was fun to drive and ski behind.

In closing the question I asked has been answered and although some Tige owners switched over to Moomba a few years ago it seems the majority would go with an R20 before they would consider a Moomba Mojo 2.5.

I forget who quoted the great Tige warranties but I understand the 5 year and extended warranty and service does not apply to the R20.

There has been enough data presented, to conclude that the R20 and Mojo would be a fair comparison when you look at performance and options based on price. Anyone disagree???? Now, if some one has need for more room then a 20ft/94in beam boat, then this moves the Mojo over next to the Z1 maybe, but certainly the 22ve/RZ2. A this point, the Tige may may still be the winner unless budget is factored back in....then the Mojo pulls ahead.

One test drive of a Tige will help the customer decide and know that Tige is the best bet on the water right now!

Towing on weekends is just too expensive at 11mpg.
Ok, I finally get it. The title of the thread is misleading. The OP is not interested in buying a boat. He just saw the Mojo and wanted to see what we thought of the comparison, based on price alone, of the Mojo and R20.

The OP is looking at the comparison from his viewpoint, which is a few weekends a year and a week long vacation. For the most bang for the buck, he can get a Mojo for about the same price as an R20 and gets a bigger roomier boat.

Everyones opinions are useless in this thread since we all thought the OP wanted our opinions on an actual all encompassing comparison of hardware and price, as if he were to buy one boat or the other. When in fact this is just an thought process exercise, an as-if scenario.

Sorry CamaroNut for really mis-understanding your intent with this post. I agree, if you don't spend much time on the water, and money IS an issue, you can get more boat for the money with the Mojo. Everyone knows this, just like everyone knows you can get a bigger Bayliner than a SeaRay for the same money.

Disclaimer; I owned a Bayliner before my Tige, and I'm not disrespecting Bayliner, that boat lasted me 17 years and it's moved onto another family. I make boats last and I plan to keep my Tige for quite a while too. I just wanted a good performing wake boat with some goodies that you can't get on a Bayliner. I found a great deal on my boat and I can't be happier. Someday, if you want me to discuss the pros and cons of my RZ2 vs MC, Bu, Centurion and Moomba, I can do that since I test drove all those boats before I bought mine. Until then, I don't see any more use for this thread.
