    Poseidon Flooring

Ordering a new RZ2 this month

One of the options is this new Poseidon floor matt

Anyone have experience with it? seems like it could trap a lot of food/snacks

Does the final installed product have a Tige Logo on it like the sample?

Do we get to chose colours?

I thought about it but ended up not getting it on my RZR. I figured I would wait until more people had it. It should not be too bad to add it later. They first used it on the 20th Anniversary RZ2 if I remember.

It is available in black with a grey logo or grey with a black logo.

I'm not familiar with this option, do you have a picture?

The stuff looks and feels super comfy but I had the same concerns with food and snacks. I guess time will tell

If you allow food and snacks on your boat, it might be a problem. We had this material in the rehab pool area where I used to work. Water and dirt will just wash right through to the floor below. Remove the mat and wash the floor into the bilge. Might get kind of hot on the feet though. It is available through pool centers and they make quite a few colors if I remember correctly.

i saw a sample of it - a small 6" square - at the Pittsburgh boat show.

i like it...not sure it's worth the upgrade cost. would definitely have +'s and -'s.

+ - cannot stain, doesn't hold water, no snaps to go bad, easy to remove

              - - would definitely trap crumbs and pet hair

Personally, if it was the same price structure as carpet, I would likely go with it.

Yeah, we have lots of little kids and babies in the boat all the time

While shoes are not allowed, snacks are a reality for us

I really want the Poseidon, but I'm worried about the trapped snacks

Anyone with real life experience? can the crumbs be hosed out if i pull out the mat?

                  eewwwww, no thanks.

maybe goodies can just be washed out of it.
I'm on a boat man. I got my flippy floppies....

it looks like plastic? or is it a clothe material?

Same stuff that is now offered in the 2012 Malibu. I like the feel of it, even though its quite different from carpet.

It is actually plastic loops. i personally do not see it holding crumbs or pet hair any worse then traditional carpet. But only time will tell though.

Looks very similar to the 3M "Nomad" Scraper mats. Their patent must have run out

I thought about it briefly but did not go with that option either. Personally I just like the look of the carpet over the posiedon mat.

Loving the Poseidon .... so far it's been relatively crumb resistant... and EASY to clean!

Several folks are offering options that get away from carpet. Axis offers a Japanese Tatami snap in mat. It's super comfy too. Not soft like carpet, but much easier to clean and doesn't stain.
                              Waiting for another good one!
