That truck is a beast, congrats! Just curious, will you leave the exhaust directed toward the boat or have it turned out? Maybe it doesn't matter...

          Congrats Doc!

Now, ask what oil you should put in it. That should generate another 8 pages of responses

          Seriously, enjoy!

+1! No doubt in my mind that a diesel is the best job for plowing no matter what brand!

Nice looking truck...reminds me of something...let me think about it, OH, I know...my setup!

Towing 6, 7 or 8,000 lbs does not require a diesel no matter where you are or live. Nice is not having to paying $4.25 for a gallon of fuel.

Nobody can't read...I said PLOWING, not TOWING. And diesel is only $3.89 here...gas is $3.03 so

And proper diesels get better mileage than gas engines, too. I continue to get an honest 25 MPH in mixed driving. That's 16 cents per mile. A gas engine has to get almost 19 MPG to match it, using the prices you quoted above. Are these new gas engines getting 19 MPG in mixed driving? Maybe so....

I think we had this discussion before...the manual transmission Dodges appear to be the bulk of the trucks that get the mileage you report.

Yep, just wanted to raise the point again since "paying for diesel" was brought up. It's not the cost per gallon, it's the cost per MILE that matters.
