    Fuel vent locations ideas

While surfing my fuel tank vent is underwater. I have a 1-way valve in line but I don't trust it to keep water out of the engine and I think I get water in my fuel because every once in a while I will get some slight sputter (sort of backfire) and my marine tech said it was water in the fuel tank. So has anyone moved this yet? Is there a better vent then this one? I am thinking of locating it further forward closer to tower. That should keep it high enough during surfing.

Wow. Where is it now? Mine is up under the windshield on the Port side. I've yet to hear of anyone moving it but, should be fairly simple.

Back rear corner under the gas fill on the port side. Terrible location. Thinking of using the existing hole for a 2nd bilge pump.

In all fairness, I don't think Tige planned on someone running 2k plus of ballast on one side.

It definitely needs to move though. Up under the windshield would give you easy access for install from the observers compartment.
