Ouch! That's sad seeing the vinyl in that state! Good luck with your new upholstery! I would love a 2012 interior in my '07!

That second-to-last photo reminds me of what quickly happened to my rear seat. It went further than that in its very first season of use. Fortunately, Tige stepped right up and shipped me a complete replacement seat skin.

When you think about it, reliably stitching this stuff has got to be tough. The stresses are all focused at HOLES in the fabric! I wonder if there's some way to RF/ultrasonically weld this stuff after stitching, so the stress would be borne across the entire seam? That's how they make whitewater rafts and the chambers of my AirDock: stitch first, then RF weld it. Those seams are darn near bulletproof. Just thinking out loud.

Well I cant get into the upholstery shop untill december but I will be copying the 2012 pattern and I have a email into my dealer to see if TIGE will sell me the fiberglass cutouts that the newer TIGES have in the rear side seat back cushions (the cutout with the cupholders and the grab handle). If they decide not to sell the cutouts I might try to custom make my own
