New Z3 on the way to the 'Land of 10,000 (not always frozen) Lakes'

After a ton of research on this site and wake9, we have pressed the button on our first inboard - a new Z3. Had actually decided on a RZ2 (because my wife loved the larger bow area) until she saw and fell in love with the RZ3 at the mpls boatshow. A huge thanks to Tom at Family Marine in Willmar MN who is incredibly knowledgeable, passionate and patient, and of course to Tony Fussan who answered a lot of questions at the boat show. Here is a build pic of the boat we ordered. More or less like the 'brochure' boat except we have more black graphics in the stern and a black tower and grey speakers. Plus, no green accents in the interior (similar to the interior of the wakeworld z3). Other options:

    409HP Motor
    Flex Paint Scheme
    Pearl on the grey colors
    Boat Cover
Stainless Steel Rub Rail - Grey
    Dual Batteries
Pro Ballast System (and willing to customize based on Ragboy's experience with his Z3)
Custom Color Alpha Z Tower - Black
Clamping Swivel Surf/Wake Racks - Black and mortgaged the house for this!!
    Tower of Power w/Rev 10's and 8s
    Tower Accent Lights
    Custom Color Rings - black
Led lights on the tower speakers
    Carlotta Steering Wheel
    Billet 180 Mirror w/Bracket
    Poseidon floor matt
    2 extra cleats
    Heater (MN, remember)

The build should start shortly so I will post pics as I get them. The way Tige is going, unless they hire a photographer, I think Jean is going to have to move her office into the factory!!

Thanks again to everyone on this site for educating an I/O guy on the such a progressive brand as Tige.

Thanks Rensink, sounds good. Our lake is 4 hours north of msp but at least we are still in the same timezone. Trying to attach the image that was supposed to be attached to my first post.

Idea: They could mount a few webcams in strategic spots, configured to take photos every 1-5 minutes (so no video streaming overload), then give each custom order a build schedule. We could then watch for ourselves and Jean can have her life back.

Super stoked for you. I'm the Service/parts manager at Family Marine and I'm really excited to welcome your new boat to our facility. I hope all has gone well for you in the ordering process and if you join us on fb I will be sure to post pics of your boat as soon as we get it. You must have talked with Tony at the show because I was the one working the Tige's and for the life of me can not remember speaking with you. At any rate. Congrats!

Any sort of customizing you decide to do with your boat as far as ballast I'd be more than happy to work with you on in the future. I'm sure Tom mentioned we are an authorized FatSac dealer. We also have a some very nice new for 2012 Liquid Force Custom Wakesurf boards available that would look just beautiful on your board racks! Check out our selection either on our website www.familymarineboats.com or our facebook page. Both of which I just recently finished updating with all of our new Liquid Force products.

I Look forward to meeting your new Tige, I mean meeting you soon.

              Shaun

I was thinking the same thing, while Jean is sending 5 and 6 pictures a day. If they put up a few web cams, gave the buyer a login and password and watch as much or as little as you want. Me personally I would need food and a piddle pouch, because I would not get out from in my computer.

To the OP CONGRATS buddy! the Z3 is an awesome boat, and I say that without even having seen one in person. Jean will definitely take care of you with build pics, you just have to take care of us and post them ALL..LOL Look forward to the pics.

Thanks Shaun. I look forward to meeting you too. It was my wife and son who went to the boatshow and met Tom and Tony there. Me, I work in the ME and don't get to see the boats, I just write the checks! I am next home at the beginning of March and will see you then.

Congrats, nice choice! For a first inboard, doesn't get much better than a Z3.

I was thinking of ordering the Poseidon floor matt too, what made you chose it?

Congrats on the boat! Looks great! I want a Z3!

Midwest owners get together. Count me in! There are plenty of lakes between WI, MN, IL and IA that we could choose from.

I would prefer the Minocqua, WI area with its crystal clear deep (100 ft)chain of lakes. But I will travel with boat.

With a traditional carpet and cooler Minnesota nights, we could go days on end without the carpet drying out. This flooring will dry real fast and hopefully is easy to remove to shake out or hose out any trapped crumbs etc - see separate thread re Poseidon carpet.
