Well, I have looked at all the other manufacturers over the years, and I can say that Tige seems to be the most "in tune" with what users want and need.

    Here are a few questions....

    1. If I order the stock ballast @ 2600, would they delete the bags so I can add my own? I plan to add a bigger bag to each rear locker...how big can I fit in there and still keep it folded up out of the way?

    2. If I want 2- 400 lb bags in the front, can I use the vdrive fly high sacs?

    3. I believe i could add my own wetsounds system for less than the factory charges...has anyone done this?
My vride was done by an audio installer, and it was a hack job, so Im a bit reluctant to go that route.

chpthril is the guy to talk to about ballast on here. and as far as stereo goes... i think it would be much easier and more efficient (cost) to just have the factory instal done the way you like. the factory set up is sweet and sounds great. one or two little adds can be done after but they are simple and not expensive. I just think that over a loan for the boat it would be easier to pay than it would be to have the boat then go back and have to pay cash for the ballast and stereo. i think that financing these options with the boat as one monthly installment is the best way to go.

I do not know if Tige will delete the 350# surf sacs, but there are lots of owners who have pulled them an installed out Plug-n-play surf sac. It can be folded up as well when not in use, but it is quite a bit bulkier.

The Pro level option comes with the 400# v-drive sac i believe. So if you ordered the the surf or base level with integrated bow sac, its not a big deal to swap it out for a pair of v-drives.

There are two advantages to the OEM Wet Sounds install; 1) the warranty is the same as the rest of the boat. 2) the tower speakers come with the dressed up collars from Tige. They look cleaner and more integrated to the tower with the collars.

The factory is great to work with they will help out where ever it is needed ask them abou the bags I'm sure the would work on it as far as stereo i would let them do it but personal preference.

Well like guma said these boats are very customizable. What if you wanted the RZ2 but wanted a monster tower or a samson tower. Now you have to buy it with a 4K tower and take it off to put your tower on. What if you want to buy it with no ballast and do your own system later. with these options as standard features you are forced to buy them if you dont want to. Good luck in your purchase. Malibu comes standard with the G3 and racks but what if you have a dock and never ever use racks now you are paying for 1200 racks that you will never use. Tige allows you to basically get exactly what you want.

I vote for the Z3, a little more but definitely best in class.

I got an 09' Z1 and love it. It came with basic ballast 900lbs. headunit and 4 interior speakers. I had the dealer add a WS420, amp and 2 tower speakers. I am now thinking of adding more ballast. Enzo W712 bags-scroll down about half way and see this link:

                http://www.fatsac.com/FATSACS.bifh

You could order it with basic stereo and add more stereo equipment to your preference when it comes in and order basic ballast so you get pumps, plumbing and wiring from the factory and some sac to get you started and add more bags later and just tap into the exisitng plumbing. You will get more ballast for less cost then factory.

*Note- I did not order it-it was sitting on showroom floor but looking back on it, I am glad I got it the way I did.

Mine came the same way. I haven't upgraded the stereo yet but I'm working on the ballast upgrade this winter. The nice thing is that almost any accessory can be added after the fact and exactly how you want it.

I wouldn't think any dealer would put in a ballast system and not install the bags per customer request. It would be a bit of a liability. If the customer only put in 3 of the 5 bags and went to fill up their system, those other two plumbed connections would fill your boat with water.

Does Tige use a different pump or quantity of pumps for the standard, surf, and pro ballast systems?

As far as MSRP and options look at any car company, they do the exact same thing.

I think the opposite is true of high end vehicles. I am not even sure you can get a cadillac without leather.

I appreciate 2thdoc's gripe, but I like the customizable nature of an RZ2. If I ordered it, it would likely be with an aftermarket tower, for example. The competition pretty well has a certain number of items that are not options, like ballast, tower and dual batteries, unlike Tige.

I think his gripe is that once he did load it up, the RZ2 was far more expensive than the boat he was initially attracted to, and he cannot understand why. I also hate the idea of getting excited about a 65K boat, and then realizing that by the time I add what I consider 'standard' it becomes an 80K boat (just making up numbers here). There are benefits and disadvantages to either way. It is what it is.

Ok, I get what you guys are saying regarding customization. I guess the RZR retails for 8k less than the bare bones RZ2.It has ballast, tower, stereo. Why not just have that boat retail for even less and then have nothing standard on it?Apples to apples...and no confusion.

Everyone here has something good to say and have all expressed thier opinions. But at the end of the day it all comes down to one thing. What all do you want and how much you have to spend. You may find that financing over time will be better than having to upgrade things the first year or two with more cost those years. Plus if you get it all up front you will have more time to enjoy the boat than spending the time and effort upgrading. IMO.

I agree. Plus with as low as interest rates are now for these type of loans, it is a great time to buy. I got 3.75% on my new boat.

Then you would have an R20.
