Broken TAPS

    Sorry to hear about your TAPS. Hope you have better luck than us -- took us 2 tries. Had to go back in my file with receipts for boat repairs because I've repressed the memories! In May 2006 the now defunct dealer (only one at time in my whole state) installed TAPS "brain" ($435.82 + $85 labor), which must've worked for a while, but not permanently because in August of 2010 an independent boat mechanic installed a Taps Control box (30243-001-1 Taps ET -- $405), a 30049-004-1123 Taps Molex Cable assy ($35), plus $210 labor to diagnose and replace Taps module...Totalling $650. It's worked fine so far. Keeping my fingers crossed. Can only say that even with 2 tries, it was a lot cheaper than a new boat, esp since it doesn't appear that we can replace the '04 Switch i with an equivalent anymore. Good luck.
